Side channel fans are used when more volume and pressure or vacuum is needed than, for example, a centrifugal fan can provide. Therefore, they are used in food and beverage industry, medical technology, textile industry or environmental technology, among other areas.
In this type of aeration equipment, air is drawn in through a rapidly rotating impeller and then forced out by centrifugal force, creating compression. Unlike fans, this allows much higher pressure differentials to be generated, allowing air and other gases to be compressed or extracted.
The compression process takes place oil-free in our side channel blowers. This makes them particularly suitable for applications where no contamination of the transported air is allowed.
