Difference between solenoid valves and process valves

It is important to understand the difference between solenoid valves and process valves. Process valves include our programs of coaxial valves and pneumatically controlled "pinch" valves.

Solenoid valves are compact open/close spring-return valves with two (2/2-way versions) or three (3/2-way versions) ports. They are operated by a solenoid, can assume two positions (open and close) and open and close very quickly.

Co-Axial valves (process valves).

Co-axial valves are designed to be completely pressureless. The medium pressure has almost no influence on the switching behavior. The switching capacity remains constant and the valves switch reliably whether under vacuum, low or high pressure.

The coaxial valve design allows the medium to flow in both directions. This means that the medium can alternately flow through the valves. The pressureless and extremely compact design enables the fastest switching processes. The corresponding coaxial valves achieve reproducible switching speeds of 25 ms.

The coaxial valves are particularly suitable for lubricants in machine and plant construction. Other possible applications are in vacuum and gas technology, test bench construction, marine and railroad engines and in filling and dispensing technology. With suitable seals, both gaseous and liquid, contaminated or gelatinous media can be used, for example oils, emulsions as well as coolants and lubricants. Click to read more about coaxial valves.

Pinch valves (process valves)

Pinch (squeeze) valves are pneumatic valves for liquid, viscous, granular, dirty, fibrous and aggressive substances. Our pinch valves have proven themselves over many years in a wide variety of industries. They are reliable, robust, inexpensive and available in a wide range of nominal sizes.

For example, pinch valves are used in the pneumatic conveying of all kinds of bulk materials and are widely used in the food and pharmaceutical, plastics and chemical industries. Pneumatic valves are also used in environmental engineering, wastewater treatment, plant construction and in the construction and mining industries. Pinch valves are used for sealing, sealing, regulating and dosing various materials and raw materials.
