Pressurized air conditioning is the basis for any properly functioning pneumatic system. At the center of compressed air conditioning is a unit, which usually consists of filters, reducer and an air dryer.

At the machine, a compressed air conditioning set is also provided. This compressed air conditioning set may consist of a filter, reducer or filter/reducer and possibly an oil mist sprayer (if oil-lubricated air is a requirement). This set is usually supplemented by a shut-off or lock-out valve, a safety valve or slow-start valve.

With the help of the filter, compressed air quality is improved and residual water in the line is drained through an auto drain or hand drain.

Standardly, a filter has a 5 micron filtration rate; for various applications, even better compressed air quality is required. For these applications, filters with a carbon element can be used to achieve a filtration rate of 0.01micron. Even for "breathing air," a special filter is supplied.

Depending on the required air consumption, the size of the unit is determined. BIBUS supplies versions with connections from M5 to G3". The standard versions are made of brass, aluminum or plastic, stainless steel is recommended for more aggressive environments.
