Pressure controllers, also called pressure regulators, are components used to set a pressure to a desired value. Pressure controllers are used, for example, in gas cylinders, compressors and heat pumps.
Pressure controllers function primarily manually, using a pressure gauge to set the desired pressure. The characteristics of the pressure controller, such as size, material type, diaphragm type and seals, are determined by the application, flow rate and medium (compressed air, gases or water). The housing of pressure controllers is available in plastic, aluminum, brass or stainless steel. For explosive environments, Ex -versions are supplied with ATEX certificates.
Proportional pressure regulators control pressure based on an applied voltage or voltage. Integrated valves, sensors and/or directly electronically controlled magnets/valves are used to set the correct pressure and maintain it at this value.
