Technical information
The most important components of a gas springs are the piston rod, cylinder, connecting pieces, turned parts, seals, oil, grease, and nitrogen.
Piston rods and cylinders are usually made of steel and are CeramPro® treated and powder coated. The connecting pieces and turned parts are made of lead-free aluminium or steel. Seals, oil, and grease are completely free of substances included on the list of critical or dangerous substances.
The nitrogen in the gas spring is an inert gas. This means it does not burn and is not harmful to public health.
Bansbach gas springs are produced in accordance with current and future laws and regulations:
- RoHS directive;
- WEEE 2003/11/EC directives;
- 2002/95/EC;
- 2002/96/EC.
They do not fall under the following directives:
- 94/9/EC;
- 97/23/EC;
- 98/37/EC;
- UN 3164;
- TRGS 220 or UL 60601-1.
Bansbach gas springs comply with both national and international laws and regulations. Naturally, their use is the responsibility of the customer or user.
