Shrink discs RfN

The high-quality Shrink discs are flange-shaped, friction-locked shaft-hub connections that offer a more powerful and reliable alternative to traditional shrink fits, wedges, keyways, or polygonal connections. Unlike internal locking devices, such as locking assemblies, pressure is applied externally to the hollow shaft or hub, creating a completely backlash-free, frictional connection between the shaft and hub. The shrink disc itself is not part of the load path; instead, the torque is transmitted in a force-locking manner at the interface between the shaft and hub without the need for an intermediate element. Shrink discs stand out for their wear- and maintenance-free operation, easy assembly and disassembly, and exceptional resistance to alternating torsion and concentricity issues. Depending on specific customer requirements, shrink discs are available in trusted standard designs, custom special variants, two- and three-part configurations, and stainless steel options. They can transmit not only torque and bending loads but also axial and radial loads.
