Elastomer Jaw Couplings TNM

Filter

Vibration damping, torsionally resilient, fail-safe, and misalignment compensating: The elastomer jaw couplings of the TNM series—formerly known as TSCHAN TNM and NOR-MEX—are globally recognized for their flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and performance. These versatile couplings effectively compensate for shaft misalignments in all directions and help shift critical torsional vibrations within the operating range of machinery to zones where they pose no risk to the drive train. Torque is transmitted through pressure-loaded elastomers made of high-quality Perbunan, forming a shock- and vibration-damping intermediate ring that is both oil-resistant and electrically conductive. These durable intermediate rings, which can be quickly and easily replaced—especially in multi-part coupling designs—are available in different hardness levels to meet customer requirements and application-specific needs. The axially pluggable TNM series elastomer couplings can operate in temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +100 °C and can be installed in any position or direction of rotation. Thanks to their modular design, they come in a wide variety of sizes and configurations, including single- and multi-part versions, or with integrated brake discs or drums, as well as highly customized special solutions.
