Pneumatics is used in almost every production machine. This is due to the many advantages of pneumatics. The pneumatic solutions of BIBUS can be divided into cylinders, air supplies, couplings, hoses and valves. On this page of the BIBUS webshop you will find an overview of pneumatic valves. You can also easily order these pneumatic valves online. For customized advice, please feel free to contact our specialists.
Pneumatic valves are used for blowing functions or controlling cylinders. The size of the valve depends on the cylinder function. Depending on this function, 2/2, 3/2, 5/2 or 5/3 way valves can be chosen.
Because of the high degree of automation, mainly electrically operated valves are used. However, mechanically or manually operated valves are still part of the total valve program.
Vents in explosive environments
A common application of pneumatically operated valves is in explosive environments. Here, pneumatic valves can provide an alternative to electrically operated valves with an explosion-proof ATEX coil.
Determining the right pneumatic valve
Based on the size of the cylinder and the requested speed, the flow and subsequently the size of the valve are determined. This taking into account the working pressure, the mass to be moved, the length between valve and cylinders etc. BIBUS will be happy to help you determine the right valve for your application.
Pneumatic valves ISO 5599/1
.
Vents also have a standardization, according to ISO 5599/1. This ISO-certified series is mainly used in applications/constructions where rapid interchangeability or internal standardization is required. We can also easily offer a replacement for an existing valve according to ISO 5599/1.
Two common applications of compact valves are as "stand alone" valves, or as valves on row mounts. The row mounts (manifolds) are often fitted with a bus system, such as PROFIBUS, Devicenet, Profinet or I/O link.
