Vacuum pumps
COVAL provides manufacturers with a series of suction pads suitable for gripping and holding parts of different sizes, weights and materials. This range has now been expanded to include the latest CMS HD series of multi-stage vacuum pumps. With this innovation, the new generation meets the requirements of "Industry 4.0. The new grippers are even more robust, offer more communication options and are modular.
The range of vacuum pumps in the BIBUS web shop is based on two complementary solutions. The CVGL series is characterized by its low weight and great adaptability. The CVGL is available as standard in different lengths, power levels and gripping interfaces.
The MVG series, on the other hand, offers the possibility of configuring the gripper so that it can be perfectly adapted to any application. This is possible by varying the length, width, gripper interface and vacuum generator, while ensuring extremely low weight. The MVG offers a customized solution that integrate perfectly with handling robots.

To meet the requirements of harsh environments (IP65), COVAL has developed a new generation of vacuum pumps: the CMS HD series. This series consists of vacuum pumps with a rubust design, for high reliability (even in harsh environments) and is capable of guaranteeing 50 million cycles.

Vacuum pumps become intelligent
The new series of intelligent vacuum pumps offer a choice of three multi-stage vacuum pump configurations, depending on the needs of the integrator: without control, with vacuum and blow-off control and communicating (IO-link Mode).
The last configuration, which makes it easier to use and parameterize the vacuum pumps, is obtained by integrating the CMS HD VX version of the multi-stage pump.
The configuration features an IO-Link communication interface, which complies with the international IEC 61131-9 standard. This enables fast and cost-effective installation, continuous diagnostics, centralized parameterization and efficient communication with protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT and the like).
It also optionally supports a Human Machine Interface (HMI) with NFC interface. This allows the operator to read and change setup parameters and diagnostics from a mobile device using the dedicated COVAL Vacuum Manager app (Android or iOS).
These new capabilities make the vacuum pumps perfectly compatible with robotic manipulators at the heart of "Industry 4.0.
