Stefan van der Beek, director of Mparts, quite recently acquired a part of the shares of BIBUS Romicon BV and sold a part of the shares of his own organisation, Mparts, to the Swiss BIBUS Holding AG, the parent company of his newly acquired business.

BIBUS Holding AG

BIBUS Holding AG is a Swiss family-owned company with approximately 1,100 employees in 33 companies in 24 countries worldwide. The technology division of BIBUS Holding AG is actively involved in the fields of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechatronics and environmental technology. This company also has a materials division and an electronics division. With this acquisition and sale transaction Van der Beek follows the current consolidation trend.

In recent years, more and more smaller companies have been bought up and merged in order to gain even more clout. Van der Beek explains: “Four years ago, BIBUS Holding AG purchased the majority of the shares of the Dutch company Romicon. Consequently, they obtained the dealership within the Benelux market of the range of Bansbach gas springs and actuators, in addition to Mparts, which had been carrying this package for many years.”

Today, four years after the takeover, the current owner of BIBUS Romicon BV, due to reaching his retirement age, has decided to sell his own remaining shares. As a result, Van der Beek from now on is the co-owner of two BIBUS-organisations in the Netherlands, i.e. BIBUS Romicon BV in Wapenveld and Mparts in Lisse. When asked whether these two names would be retained in the future and/or whether the offices would continue to co-exist, says Van der Beek: “BIBUS Romicon BV will be moved completely, including stock to Mparts BV in Lisse. The location in Wapenveld will be closed.

BIBUS Netherlands

A separate sales office will be opened in the Apeldoorn region, from which the Technical Commercial Advisors can carry out their work. If everything goes according to plan, the new organisation will be called BIBUS BV, per 1-1-2023. This company will serve the Benelux market. Initially, this consolidation will substantially broaden the existing Mparts product range with an assortment of pneumatics components.

In a later stage, this will be followed by even more interesting product packages of A-suppliers, who are active in the field of mechatronics and environmental technology, for which the BIBUS Holding AG holds the official European distributorships. After integration the roadmap will be made for 2023 in order to phase in the most interesting product packages of the BIBUS Holding AG within the current automation system”.
