BIBUS in practice: TUBUS-dampers by ACE

Visitors to Technorama, can experiment and discover physical phenomena through interactive exhibits, workshops and laboratories (a total of 500 spots)! One of the most popular attractions is a specially designed seesaw, where one person can lift as many as three others, even if they are heavier together! In the construction of this seesaw, Technorama worked with experts from BIBUS and ACE to realize the most suitable damping for the pivot point. The choice finally fell on the TUBUS safety dampers, which were specially developed for applications where high energy absorption is required, but where a certain amount of movement must also be maintained for fun. With the TUBUS TC83-73-S safety dampers, the desired balance was achieved: reliable damping for every rocking motion, without sacrificing the playful experience. The dampers, made of co-polyester elastomer, ensure that the seesaw angle of 7 degrees is maintained while minimizing the recoil effect.
