BIBUS in practice: actuators for operating lifting the roof of a pickup truck
BIBUS' linear electric actuators are increasingly finding their way into a wider range of applications. The ease of use, reliability and compactness of the models with integrated control make them an interesting alternative to gas springs, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders.
Central to this practical application is the pickup camper shown above. BIBUS was allowed to help solve problems related to the camper's lift roof. The hydraulic cylinders that operated the roof were quite capable of opening the lift roof by upward force. However, lowering the roof was not always smooth.
The roof is now operated by linear actuators, the advantage being the same upward and downward force, so it opens as smoothly as it closes. In addition, the complementary cascade system, which allows synchronous control, has resulted in even smoother movements of the roof. Read the full product application here.
Recap of ESEF 2022
From August 30 - September 2, 2022 it was time again, the ESEF Maakindustrie! The largest and most important event in the Benelux in the field of subcontracting, outsourcing, product development and engineering took place in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Of course we were present again this year!
The fair was more compact, because of the train strike and a last week of summer vacation of the southern Netherlands, the number of visitors was less. On the stand we had more time for (new) customers and therefore ended the fair with a good feeling!

These SS 316L handles are all seawater resistant and available in various types, such as polished with semi-matte finish, sandblasted and electro-polished semi-matte and/or brushed and electro-polished.

New: index plungers stainless steel A4 (316) with locking
We have two new series of index plungers stainless steel A4 in the range! The AG45 series consists of a locking feature. This means that, when the knob is pulled out and turned a quarter turn, the locking pin remains in retracted position when the knob is released. In the version without arresting (AG44), the pin always returns to the starting position when the knob is released. Both series are available from M8 to M20, with a plastic or stainless steel knob and in various lengths.
